Tidewater Labs

The whole idea of Tidewater Labs started because I wanted to get better at building from scratch. My background is a mix of product + engineering, but a lot of it has been at big organizations. Nothing wrong with working at big organizations, as you get to meet a ton of smart people, have stability, and launch your career.

However, for my future personal & professional goals, I want to be a founder or work as an executive leading a team at an org. For either part, I need to be super lucky to get in early on an organization from seed to IPO/acquisition, and only a small number of people I know are in that position today.

To generate that kind of luck, Seneca, a Roman philosopher, put it best: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."

The preparation is happening at Tidewater Labs, where I will be launching a new product every quarter. The opportunity is not only for me, but other people like me who want to grow, learn, and have the chance to prove themselves.

I hope I get to show you something new that you haven't seen before. If you have seen it, then I hope it's better, less expensive, or faster than what you saw.

We'll see how far I get doing this, and I hope I get to meet people way more talented than me, teach something to anyone reading this, and make some chunk of change along the way ;)
